With the approximate cost of the monument’s construction being over $300,000, it’s obvious that if any of that can be saved by companies and individuals involved with the various construction trades involved, donating labor and materials will lower the amount to be raised.

Since the announcement event the project in 2021, it has been supported by a loyal and patient group of donors who have purchase bricks with their names on it or honoring loved ones who had a deep appreciation and attachment to the Carlsbad Raceway and want to be part of it in perpetuity.

1982 500cc motocross World Champion Brad Lackey and his wide Lori are challenging (19) individuals and companies to match their $10,000 gift to help get the monument completed. You can join them and receive and tax deduction through the Road 2 Recovery Foundation. For more info click here.
